
D-Fenders Lock Down Legends in Showcase Finale

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, Jan. 21, 2017 - The Los Angeles D-Fenders (20-6) defeated the Texas Legends (12-12), 128-115, in the final game of the 2017 NBA Development League Showcase.
Vander Blue scored a team-best 31 points for Los Angeles. Travis Wear notched 24 points on 4-of-7 from deep to go with 11 rebounds off the bench and Josh Magette had a 15-point, 15- assist double-double for the D-Fenders.
Manny Harris scored a game-high 41 points on 15-of-26 shooting to go with six rebounds and six assists in the losing effort.
The first quarter featured five lead changes and four ties in the opening minutes before Los Angeles opened up a 16-point lead heading into the second period, 39-23. Blue notched 26 points in the first half on 8-of-11 shooting as the D-Fenders maintained a healthy 13-point advantage at the half, 72-59.
The Legends overcame a 22-point second-quarter deficit to take the lead with 11:32 remaining in the fourth quarter, 90-89, but Los Angeles outscored Texas 39-25 the rest of the way to earn its 11th win in 13 games.
Los Angeles went 1-1 at Showcase and next plays host to the Sioux Falls Skyforce on Thursday, Jan. 26 at 10:30 p.m. ET.
