
Cobras Team With Red Cross For Pregame Blood Drive

CHARLOTTE â The Carolina Cobras of the Arena Football League are joining forces with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive prior to the club's home contest with the Columbus Destroyers on Saturday, May 1.
The Cobras organization welcomes donors to join the Red Cross on the mobile collection bus outside of the Charlotte Coliseum entrance from 4:00 to 8:30 p.m. Donors will receive various giveaways, including Cobras tickets, merchandise and Red Cross lunch coolers. All participants can also register for an authentic AFL football autographed by Philadelphia Soul owner and national recording artist, Jon Bon Jovi.
"The Cobras organization is honored to have the opportunity to show our support for the American Red Cross," said Cobras general manager Darrell Harbin. "We hope that our participation will further aid the vital work that the Red Cross performs throughout the year."
The Carolinas Blood Services Region - Team Carolinas - is headquartered in Charlotte, NC, and encompasses 82 counties in North Carolina and parts of South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee. The American Red Cross supplies blood to over 100 hospitals throughout the region. Over 1,500 donations must be collected each day to meet the needs of local patients.

The Cobras will take the field against the Destroyers at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday evening at the Charlotte Coliseum. Individual game tickets are also available at the Charlotte Coliseum box office or at all Ticketmaster outlets, online at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling 704-522-6500.
