Cleveland Charge News Release
The Canton Charge (21-17), powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, defeated the Greensboro Swarm (13-26), 114-108, at the Memorial Civic Center on Tuesday night. Canton now has a 3-0 lead in the inaugural season series between the two teams with a final matchup left in Greensboro on March 16th.
Three Charge players scored 20+ points, led by Kay Felder's 25 on 8-of-17 shooting with five assists and two steals in 34 minutes on assignment from the Cleveland Cavaliers. John Holland had 25 points of his own with four steals in 36 minutes. Jonathan Holmes rounded out the trio with 23 points on 7-of-13 shooting with five rebounds in 39 minutes.
Roosevelt Jones scored 14 points with seven rebounds and two steals in 38 minutes for Canton. Eric Moreland added nine points, 12 rebounds, six assists and three blocks in 32 minutes off the bench. Cameron Jones made his Charge debut after being acquired in a trade on February 25th, scoring 11 points and nabbing a steal in 20 minutes off the bench.
Greensboro was paced by Damien Wilkins scoring 23 points with five rebounds and five assists in 30 minutes off the bench. Archie Goodwin added 16 points and nine boards in 28 minutes. Cat Barber and Ralston Turner scored 16 points each as the Swarm had six players score in double figures.
Canton continues their five-game home stand on Saturday, March 4th at 7:00 p.m. against the Fort Wayne Mad Ants (Indiana Pacers).
