The Canton Charge (3-7), powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, fell on the road to the Salt Lake City Stars (3-10), 94-87, at the SLCC Lifetime Activities Center.
Marcus Thornton led the Charge with 16 points on 5-of-7 from three-point range in 34 minutes. Kendrick Perkins scored 16 points with seven rebounds and two steals in 29 minutes. London Perrantes tied a Canton franchise record with 16 assists, matching a passing performance Quinn Cook had against Long Island last season (Feb. 8). Gerald Beverly came off the bench to add 13 points, five rebounds and two steals in 22 minutes, while Kevin Olekaibe had 11 points and two steals in 23 minutes of relief.
The Stars were led by Utah Jazz assignment Tony Bradley's double-double of 24 points on 11-of-14 shooting with 10 boards in 33 minutes. Eric Griffin scored 19 points with seven rebounds and three blocks in 36 minutes. Nate Wolters provided 15 points, 10 assists and five rebounds in 38 minutes for SLC.
