
Bighorns Fall to the Skyforce on the Road

RENO, Nev. ---- The Reno Bighorns (20-15) fell to the Sioux Falls Skyforce (18-17) 129-104 Friday night at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, SD.
Matt Jones led the Bighorns with 20 points and nine rebounds while David Stockton had 17 points, seven rebounds and nine assists off the bench. Kings two-way player JaKarr Sampson notched 16 points, seven rebounds and two assists.
Kadeem Jack paced the Skyforce recording a double-double with 22 points and 12 rebounds while Larry Drew had 12 points, six rebounds and 12 assists.
The first quarter was a head-to-head battle through to a tightly-contested frame with the Skyforce winning the quarter 28-24. Neither team led by more than six points in the frame, despite the quarter seeing three lead changes. Jones went 4-5 in the quarter, scoring nine of his 20 points in the period.
The even play continued through the second quarter with both teams scoring 26 points apiece. After eight lead changes and four ties, Sioux Falls would have a late run to take a four-point lead going into the locker room at the half.
The Skyforce continued to gained momentum coming out of the break, leading by as many as 16 points in the third quarter. The Bighorns would never regain the advantage in the second half, falling 129-104
Reno will again face the Skyforce tomorrow night in Sioux Falls at 5 p.m. PST.
