Rome Renegades News Release
If there is a silver lining from Monday night's American Bowl Two loss to the Canton Legends, the Rome Renegades can take heart in that the team received 75 season tickets orders for next year at the game Monday night.
While the 61-40 loss to the Legends put a bad taste in the mouth of the Renegades players and staff, the quality of football played to a sell-out crowd at the Forum was tasty enough such that a large number of football fans from Piedmont and Centre in Alabama to Calhoun, Cartersville and Carrollton as well as Rome signed up indicating that they wanted to enjoy Renegades football that will resume at the Forum next February.
The Renegades finished the 2006 season with a 14-3 mark, a major improvement over their inaugural season when the team went 10-8, losing in the Indoor Bowl 5 championship to Tri Cities Washington.
The Renegades are assured of seven home dates for the 2007 season and are accepting season ticket pre-orders for the '07 season at a ten percent discount through the end of July. Tickets prices will remain the same for the '07 season $5 for end zone bleacher seats, $10 for upper level corner sections, $15 for upper level mid field seats and $20 for level field seats. Throw in the ten percent discount at the $5 seats are available for $4.50 or $31.50 for the season, the $10 seats would sell for $9 or $63 for the season, the $15 seats are available for $13.50 or $94.50 for the season and the $20 tickets are on sale through January for $18, or $126 for the season.
Order forms can be downloaded from the Renegades web site, www.romerenegades.com and mailed to the teams downtown Rome offices at 318 Broad Street, Rome Georgia 30161. A variety of merchandise is also available at the teams retail shop on Broad Street including 2006 Southern Conference Championship tee -shirts and beautiful AIFL American Bowl 2 souvenir posters. A very limited number of AIFL red white and blue footballs may still be available.
