OKC Dodgers Hosting 2017 Mascot and Blue Cr-e Auditions

OKLAHOMA CITY - The Oklahoma City Dodgers will host auditions for team mascots and the Blue Cr-e entertainment team Saturday, Jan. 28 in the Legends Lounge at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Team mascots Brix (male) and Brooklyn (female) were introduced in 2015, with the names chosen by Oklahoma City Dodgers fans. Oklahoma City's own "Dodger Dogs" have become popular staples at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark and within the local community.
The Blue Cr-e is the catalyst for fun during OKC Dodgers games, including welcoming fans to the stadium, facilitating in-game contests, and being part of skits with team mascots.
"The Blue Cr-e is an integral part of our game presentation and fan experience," said OKC Dodgers President/General Manager Michael Byrnes. "As we like to say around here, they're in charge of all things fun at the ballpark."
Tryouts include dancing, improv, and interview questions. Those auditioning should wear comfortable clothing and be ready to move around and have fun. The exterior entrance to the Legends Lounge is located on the west side of Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark next to the Team Store on S. Mickey Mantle Drive.
Auditions are open to anyone who is outgoing, dependable, and confident while performing in front of large crowds. Applicants must be at least 16 years old, able to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and available to participate in rehearsals starting in February.
Those interested in auditioning to be Brix need to be between 5'10" and 6'1", and those interested in auditioning for Brooklyn need to be between 5'6" and 5'9". Mascot performers need to able to perform dance routines and skits in costume, work in all weather conditions, and stay in character at all times.
