
Bighorns Seize Weekend Sweep

RENO, NV ---- The Bighorns improved their 2015-16 regular season record to 3-3 after completing a weekend sweep of the Idaho Stampede with a 116-109 victory at Century Link Arena Saturday night in Boise, ID.
Erick Green paced the Bighorns, notching 37 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals as Ricky Ledo netted 16 points and two steals. Reggie Hearn added 15 points, four rebounds and five assists for the Bighorns. Green went 10-15 from the field during the Saturday night contest.
Hearn had 11 points, four rebounds and three assists in the first quarter while Green tallied five points. Hearn went 3-4 from the field and the three point range.
Green posted 13 points (4-5 from the field) in the second quarter as Sundiata Gaines had five points and two rebounds.
The Bighorns, who shot 51.4 percent from the field and 52.2 percent from the three-point range in the first half, led the Stampede 56-53 going into the locker room at the half.
In the third quarter, Green scored nine points, grabbed two rebounds and totaled two assists. Vince Hunter tallied six points and two rebounds in the quarter while Ledo had five points. The Bighorns outscored the Stampede 26-21 in the quarter.
Green led the way for the Bighorns in the final quarter with 10 points. Ledo followed Green closely, notching nine points and adding one rebound.
The Bighorns return to the Reno Events Center Tuesday, Dec. 1 to host the Austin Spurs at 7 p.m.
