Fever Sign Former Grey Cup Champion

Tri-Cities Fever News Release


The Tri-Cities Fever would like to announce the signing of wide receiver Akeem Foster (6'5" 225lbs) from St. Francis Xavier and the CFL BC Lions.

Akeem played all four years of college football at St. Francis Xavier in Canada where he was an All Canadian First Team Player. He was drafted in 2010 as the 25th overall pick of the BC Lions. In 2011 with the BC Lions he had 33 catches 593 yards and 6 touchdowns. He was part of the Grey Cup Championship team in 2011. In his five year CFL career playing for BC, Edmonton and Winnipeg Foster had 69 catches, 1,020 yards and 9 touchdowns.

"Having a player of his caliber and winning attitude was not only important for our offense but our organization a whole. He will bring a championship attitude and skill level." Said Head Coach Ryan Lingenfelder.
