SAN ANTONIO (Sept. 22, 2015) - Spurs Sports & Entertainment (SS&E) today announced that the Austin Spurs will play at the AT&T Center in San Antonio on Tuesday, Dec. 29 at 7:30 p.m. The regular season contest, presented by SWBC, will match the Spurs against the defending NBA D-League Champion Santa Cruz Warriors.

"The Austin Spurs game at the AT&T Center will mark the first time in history that a NBA Development League team has played in the San Antonio market," said SS&E Vice President of Franchise Business Operations Tim Salier. "This will provide a unique opportunity for our Austin team to play in the NBA home of their parent team, the San Antonio Spurs. We are looking forward to giving all San Antonio basketball fans this chance to see the high level of competitive play that exists in the D-League."

Austin, the NBA D-League affiliate of the San Antonio Spurs, will make its first-ever appearance at the AT&T Center, which is currently undergoing $100+ million in improvements and renovations that will enhance the fan experience at all levels of the Bexar County-owned arena and help maintain the building as a first-class facility. Renovations to the AT&T Center will include all new seating arena-wide, along with infrastructure and technology improvements.

Spurs Sports & Entertainment has owned and operated the Austin Spurs since 2007, with Austin regularly playing its home games at the Cedar Park Center in Cedar Park, Texas. Led by third-year head coach Ken McDonald, the Austin Spurs are coming off a 32-18 (.640) season where they won the Southwest Division, advanced to the Western Conference Finals of the NBA D-League Playoffs and had three players earn GATORADE Call-Ups (Jarell Eddie, Bryce Cotton and JaMychal Green).

Fans can get a look at potential NBA talent, as current San Antonio Spurs players Kyle Anderson and Jonathon Simmons have both previously played for Austin. The Austin Spurs first appearance in San Antonio is presented by SWBC and tickets go on sale Tuesday, Oct. 6, with lower level seats starting at just $10.
