
Houston Rockets Opt Not to Retain Vipers Head Coach Nevada Smith

MCALLEN, Texas, April 20, 2015 - Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey today announced that the team has opted not to retain Rio Grande Valley Vipers head coach Nevada Smith. Over two seasons, Smith led the Vipers to a 57-43 record and the second round of the 2014 NBA Development League Playoffs.
"We would like to thank Nevada for his work with the Vipers. He is a groundbreaking coach, who innovated a style of play that has changed the NBA D-League. We wish him well in his future endeavors," Morey said.
