Bighorns Game to Benefit Washoe County Student with Cancer

March 5, 2015 - NBA G League (G League)
Reno Bighorns News Release

RENO, Nev., Mar. 05, 2015- The Reno Bighorns and Country Financial have teamed up with Pleasant Valley Elementary School to raise funds for Reese Derryman, a PVES student who is suffering from Ewing's Sarcoma, a type of bone cancer that will require 3 months of chemotherapy, followed by surgery or radiation and 6 more months of chemotherapy.

In the past month, students from PVES have been selling tickets to this Friday's Bighorns game with all proceeds benefiting the Reese Derryman Foundation. For every three-point shot made by the Bighorns at tomorrow night's game, Rob Moore from Country Financial will donate $25 to the foundation. Students from the school who sold tickets were randomly selected to give PVES principal Derek Cordell, a haircut during Bighorns halftime.
