RED DEER, AB - Brent Sutter, General Manager/Head Coach of the Red Deer Rebels Hockey Club, announced today the reassignment of 17-year old defenceman Austin Shmoorkoff to the Okotoks Oilers of the Alberta Junior Hockey League.
Shmoorkoff played in two preseason games for the Rebels this year, registering 0 points and 2 minutes in penalties.
With this move, the Rebels have 25 players on their roster.
