Background

It's a big weekend in Illinois for the Wichita B-52s with a double-header split between Saturday and Sunday. The B-52s are aiming to bounce from a dramatic shoot-out loss against Hidalgo last weekend at home. Report from that match HERE.

First stop is in Pontoon Beach for a rematch against the Illinois Piasa, this time in their house. The last time these two met, the B-52s rallied to get their first franchise win in an exciting match that ended 9-8 in their first-ever home game. Report from that match HERE. Since that meeting, the Piasa have lost to Chicago 15-2 and Cincinnati 6-4. The Piasa currently sit with a 1 and 3 record. More info on the Piasa here.

On Sunday, the B-52s will fly to Villa Park to challenge the undefeated Chicago Mustangs. The Mustangs have started their 2013/14 PASL campaign with a point to prove. After finishing the 12/13 season (their first as a franchise) third in the Central Division with a 11 and 5 record, they failed to qualify for a playoff spot. So far this season, they have a 3 and 0 record with victories over Tulsa, Cincinnati, and Illinois. More info on the Mustangs here.

All games will be announced LIVE on KGSO 1410 with Dan Lucero, with coverage beginning 15 minutes before kick-off.
