Las Vegas, NV - Tonight the Las Vegas Legends stunned an aggressive Ontario Fury team with their first defeat of the season. A golden goal in overtime by Ivan Campos, #24, brought home the win. The Furys scoring was led by Tino Nunez who may have been riding high from a day that included honoring USA National Team captain Carlos Bocanegra.
This battle of the unbeaten as it was billed just shows the depth of quality players in the Pacific Division. Although the Legends suffered game ending injuries for two quality starters, Felipe Gonzalez, #12, (knee) and Ricardinho, #10, (elbow).
With consistent goal scoring from the Legends, Felipe Gonzalez, #12 with three goals and recently signed Alex Caseres, #19, three goals. The Legends outscored their opponents 11-10 with a line drive from Ivan Campos, #24, in sudden death overtime.
