Louisiana IceGators News Release
Brothers Kirk and Clark Byczynski will be returning to the IceGators blue line for the 2013-2014 season. The highly anticipated news of the re-signing of the two defensemen was released today by IceGators' GM Louis Dumont.
"Now IceGators fans can rest easy that two of their favorites will be wearing an IceGator jersey this fall," said Dumont. "Kirk and Clark are definitely some of our fans' favorites. They bring a lot of character to the dressing room, which is extremely important when you are trying to build a championship team. Having two solid blue liners like the Byczynski brothers is huge for our organization."
This will be Kirk's second season with the IceGators. Last season in 56 games he posted 34 points (12 goals and 22 assists) during the regular season earning him the titles of "Louisiana IceGators Defenseman and Rookie of the Year." Younger brother Clark, who played a vital role in recruiting Kirk for the IceGators, will start his third season come this October. During his first two seasons Clark played 106 games scoring 8 goals and 23 assists for a total of 31 points.
