June 1, 2013 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Texas Revolution News Release

On the night that commemorated the brilliant NFL and Collegiate career of Co-Owner and General Manager Tim Brown, the Texas Revolution (5-7) were not able to match his playmaking, falling to the Colorado Ice (8-4) 26-53.

On the first drive of the game, the Revolution offense had the opportunity to score on a 4th and goal attempt, but was unable to convert it into points. The Colorado Ice answered by rattling off 17 unanswered points.

The Revolution just did not to be able to find an answer for the Rushing attack of Colorado led by Dennis Kennedy (117 yards and 4 TDs). Kennedy also was able to add on 120 return yards on the night. His ability to move the football tonight was something that the Revolution defense just couldn't put a stop to.

The Revolution were able to score three times from the legs of Quarterback Marcus Jackson (18-33, 128 yards, and 1 TD passing and 43 yards and 3 TDs rushing). Jackson's three rushing touchdowns were from 6, 1, and 3 yards respectively.

The Revolution were able to spread the ball to their receivers pretty equally with four players recording multiple catches. R.J. Jackson (6 rec, 47 yards), Phillip Barnett (5 rec, 35 yards), and Mack Ogletree (5 rec, 32 yards, 1 TD) were the top three receivers.

Frankie Solomon Jr. played well in the return game for the Revolution. Solomon Jr. tallied 136 yards on 8 kick returns. He, along with linebacker A.J. Nicholson, also let the team with 6 tackles on defense. James Frazier was able to add two sacks as well.

The Revolution have two games remaining, both against the Sioux Falls Storm. The Revolution will travel up to South Dakota next Saturday, and then will host the Storm at the Season Finale Game at the Allen Event Center on June 15th. Tickets for that game are still available.
