The Binghamton Senators fell to the Crunch 4-3 last Wednesday in Syracuse. The loss was the second in a row for the B-Sens.

Brett Connolly led the Crunch offense scoring a pair of goals, including the game winner. Alex Killorn and Matt Taormina also scored goals for Syracuse.

Mike Hoffman scored a pair of goals for the B-Sens, while captain Andre Benoit also capped his night with two points, assisting on both goals. Mark Stone also added a goal in the game for the visiting B-Sens.

Robin Lehner started in goal for Binghamton making 34 saves. Dustin Tokarski earned the nod in goal for the Cunch turning aside 15 shots.

Friday, Dec. 14: Binghamton 3, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 1

Shots: Binghamton 29, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 27

PP: Binghamton 2 for 5, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 0 for 6

The B-Sens ended a two-game skid with a 3-1 victory over the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins last Friday at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza.

Patrick Wiercioch scored a goal and an assist in the game. Andre Benoit and Mike Hoffman also earned two points as each recorded a pair of assists in the match. Hugh Jessiman and Jakob Silfverberg also found their way onto the score sheet for the B-Sens.

Trevor Smith score the lone goal for the Penguins.

Ben Bishop started in goal for the B-Sens making 26 saves en route to earning his sixth straight win. Brad Thiessen started for the Pens, also making 26 saves.

Wednesday, Dec. 19: Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 3, Binghamton 4

Shots: Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 39, Binghamton 28

PP: Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 0 for 4, Binghamton 1 for 3

The B-Sens stormed back from a 3-0 deficit, scoring four unanswered goals in the third period to defeat the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins 4-3 on Wednesday night at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.

Shane Prince scored a pair of goals, including the game winner. Jakob Silfverberg and Jean-Gabriel Pageau also added goals for the B-Sens. Patrick Wiercioch recorded a pair of assists, earning a pair of points for the second straight game.

Warren Peters, Bobby Farnham and Philip Samuelsson each scored goals for the visiting Pens.

Robin Lehner started in goal for Binghamton ending the night with 36 saves. Jeff Zatkoff started in goal for the Penguins making 24 saves.

Record: 15-6-1-1

Standings: The B-Sens are second place overall in the East Division (32 points).

THIS WEEK...

Friday, Dec. 21 @ Rochester Americans (Buffalo Sabres) - 7:05 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 22 vs. Rochester Americans - 7:05 p.m.

The B-Sens kick off the holiday weekend with a home-and-home against the North Division's Rochester Americans. The meetings are the third and fourth of eight total scheduled to take place between the two teams.

Binghamton is 2-0-0-0 against the Amerks so far this season and has outscored Rochester two-to-one (6-3) through those two games.

The Amerks enter the week in fourth place in the North Division with a record of 12-10-2-1 and 27 points.

Forward Marcus Foligno is the Amerks scoring leader, averaging nearly a point per game. Foligno has eight goals and 16 assists for 24 points in 25 games.

Promotions: Saturday is an "I Survived Doomsday" celebration at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena! The arena concourse will feature a party atmosphere and music courtesy of the Brian Wolff Band. Santa Claus will also be on hand to meet and take pictures with fans that survived to see another Christmas.

Wednesday, Dec. 26 vs. Syracuse Crunch (Tampa Bay Lightning) - 7:05 p.m.

The B-Sens return from the Christmas holiday to host their East Division rival Syracuse Crunch in the traditional Boxing Day game.

The meeting will be the fifth of eight between the two teams. The B-Sens hold a slight edge in the season series having posted a record of 2-1-1-0 against the Crunch so far this season.

Fans could expect to see fireworks between the two teams. The B-Sens and Crunch have combined for 268 penalty minutes in four games played so far in this season series.

Binghamton enters the weekend chasing the division leading Crunch. Syracuse currently boasts a record of 17-6-1-2 and 37 points.

Forward Tyler Johnson leads Syracuse in points with 27 (16 goals, 11 assists) through 26 games.

SENS SNIPPETS...

Goaltender Ben Bishop made 26 saves last week in Wilkes-Barre to stretch his win streak to six games - a season high for a B-Sens goaltender. In his past six starts Bishop has 2.01 goals-against average and a .946 save percentage.

Rookie forward Jean-Gabriel Pageau scored his first professional goal in Binghamton's 4-3 victory over Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday night. The forward has seven points (one goal, six assists) in 22 games with the B-Sens so far this season.

B-SENS BRINGING IT HOME TO THE COMMUNITY...

The Binghamton Senators have partnered with Dickin Memorial Animal Hospital in Johnson City for their second annual season-long effort to assist the Southern Tier pet population, dubbed "Pucks 4 Paws" (formerly known as Paws for Cause).

The initiative has officially kicked off with the debut of the 2013 Binghamton Senators Paws for Cause calendar. The 16-month calendar features photos of B-Sens players, coaches and staff members with their family pets or pets from the area shelters. The limited edition calendars are $20 and available for purchase at the Pucks 4 Paws table on Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena concourse for all upcoming B-Sens home games, while supplies last.

New this year Dickin Memorial Animal Hospital will be raffling off a special Binghamton Senators pendant, designed exclusively for Pucks 4 Paws by CD Daniel & Co. Fine Jewelry. The pendant, valued at $1,500, is reversible. One side features a diamond paw print, while the other features the B-Sens logo accented by rubies and black diamonds. The pendant will be on display at the Pucks 4 Paws table on the arena concourse for all upcoming B-Sens home games until the drawing which is set to take place on Feb. 15. Fans need not be present to win. Raffle tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the Pucks 4 Paws table, the B-Sens executive offices during regular business hours and Dickin Memorial Animal Hospital (716 Harry L Drive, Johnson City).

All proceeds from the calendar and raffle sales will benefit the Animal Care Council, Broome County Humane Society, Front Street Dog Shelter, SPCA in Waverly and Project P.A.W.
