Skirving Named USHL Co-Forward of the Week

Sioux Falls, SD-The Sioux Falls Stampede are proud to announce that forward Todd Skirving has been named CCM Co-Forward of the Week by the United States Hockey League (USHL).

The Thunder Bay, Ontario native registered four goals in two wins over the weekend as the Stampede improved their home record to 6-0-0 and 7-3-0 overall.

On Friday, Skirving scored the eventual game winning goal midway through the third period to break a 2-2 tie against Sioux City. The Herd went on to defeat the Musketeers, 4-2. On Saturday, Skirving recorded a hat trick, scoring the Herd's first three goals in a 5-2 victory over Tri-City.

The 6-foot-0, 185-pound winger is in his second season with the Stampede. He is the Herd's top returning scorer after posting 25 points (17g, 8a) in 58 games last year. He is currently second on the team in scoring this season with nine points (5g, 4a) through the first 10 games.

The Stampede return to action this weekend when they host Fargo and Chicago and the Sioux Falls Arena. Game times are set for 7:05 PM each night. On Saturday, the first 1,000 fans will receive a free commemorative Stampede game puck! Get your tickets at the Sioux Falls Arena Box Office!
