
BB&T Ballpark Construction Update for October 25

Charlotte Knights News Release
The construction of BB&T Ballpark -- the future home of the Charlotte Knights, continues to progress.
- Recently, crews removed a crape myrtle tree from the site (photos attached). The tree, which was originally planted at the site in February of 1998, was re-planted in the median of the 6400 block of Old Reid Rd (about 30 feet from the intersection of Archdale Rd).
- Demolition of the Virginia Paper Company Building was completed last week. Work on the building began on Tuesday, October 2.
- 4th Street roadwork continues, as well as mass excavation.
