Gelinas is also the second Colt to get sold to Miami this year. Infielder Landon Camp had his contract purchased by the Marlins in January, and he spent most of spring training with their organization.
Gelinas finished the season 4-2 with a 3.13 earned-run average in 22 relief appearances for the Prairie Dogs. On September 14, Abilene traded him to the Colts in exchange for future considerations.
Gelinas was originally drafted by the New York Mets in 2010, but he did not begin his professional career until this past season with Abilene.
The Colts are a member of United League Baseball who recently concluded their 13th season. For more information, contact the Colts' front office at 94-COLTS.
