Road Warriors Deal for Defenseman

Greenville, SC : Today the Road Warriors announced they have acquired Deron Cousens from Idaho in exchange for future considerations.
Cousens is entering his second full professional season after playing last season with the Florida Everblades and Idaho Steelheads. He was originally acquired by Idaho from the Florida Everblades on March 24, 2012. In 42 games with the Everblades, Cousens collected 8 points and 12 penalty minutes. During the 2010-2011 season at Michigan Tech he had team lead with 21 points as a senior. He rejoins former teammate in Florida, Scott Pitt.
"Seeing him play with the Everblades last season, it was clear to me that he is a great character guy to have on the team," said Head Coach Dean Stork. "He plays with a competitive edge and competes hard every shift. I expect him to step in and provide an immediate boost to our defense."
The Road Warriors return home on November 2nd and for Road Warrior Tailgate Weekend presented by X98.5. The first 1,500 Fans in the door receive a Clemson, South Carolina or Furman colored koozie at Friday night's game! Fans can enjoy FREE FOOD, DICOUNTED DRINKS AND LIVE ENTERTAINEMNT at the Road Warriors Hockey Happy Hour starting at 5 p.m. at the Charter Business Plaza.
