
Thunder Acquires Defenseman Kevin Noble from Greenville

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League, announced today that the team has acquired rookie defenseman Kevin Noble from the Greenville Road Warriors in exchange for defenseman Rob Kwiet.
Noble, 25, is scheduled to join the Thunder in time for Friday's road game at Las Vegas beginning at 7:05 p.m. (1280 KWSX/StocktonThunder.com).
Noble made his professional debut in the 2011-12 postseason with the Missouri Mavericks of the Central Hockey League and collected 13 penalty minutes in nine games.
The 6-foot-1 and 200 pound blueliner skated in 139 career games with Mercyhurst College (NCAA) during four seasons. He enjoyed a career high 20 points and 15 assists in 40 games last year as a senior.
Kwiet was originally acquired by the Thunder on Mar. 6, 2012 from the Reading Royals in exchange for center Chris Doyle, defenseman Colten Hayes and left wing Ian O'Connor. He collected eight assists in 13 career games with the Thunder.
A two time recipient of the ECHL "Award of Excellence," the Thunder led the ECHL in attendance for four consecutive seasons and drew over 200,000 fans for the seventh consecutive season in 2011-12.
