Sioux Falls Storm Signs Gerald Davis for a 3rd Season

Gerald Davis has agreed to play for the Sioux Falls Storm in 2013. Gerald has been a staple of the Storm Offensive Line for the back-to-back championship seasons in 2011 and 2012.

The Greensboro, Ga., native is an all-conference offensive lineman from Valdosta State (Ga.), helping the Blazers win Division II national titles in 2004 and 2007. Following his collegiate career, Davis spent two seasons in the Canadian Football League, playing for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2008 and the Edmonton Eskimos in 2009. He moved to the indoor game in 2010 and then to the Sioux Falls Storm in 2011.

Davis, who also spent two seasons as a graduate assistant at VSU, earned his degree from VSU in 2010. Gerald and his wife Karen, live in Sioux Falls where Gerald is in his first season as a graduate assistant coach for the Augustana College Vikings. He spent the 2011 season as a volunteer offensive line coach for the Vikings.
