
Sakellaropoulos Leads Steel over Indiana

BENSENVILLE, Ill. - Alex Sakellaropoulos made 33 saves for Chicago as the Steel received goals from Danny Fetzer, Tim Davison and Alex Roos in their 3-2 win against the Indiana Ice Friday evening at the Edge Ice Arena.
Chicago trailed in the first period, 1-0, when Bo Pieper scored at 10:06 for Indiana.
In the second period, Chicago answered with Fetzer's goal at the 2:52 mark and then went ahead when Davison put one away at 7:37.
Chicago grabbed a two-goal lead, 3-1, after Roos scored, three minutes, 51 seconds into the third stanza. Indiana bounced back with their second goal of the game on Tyler Pham's goal at 9:03. Pham's score was the last one Sakellaropoulos surrendered on the evening and Chicago skated away with the one-goal victory.
The Steel are back in action Saturday when they take on the Tri-City Storm at 7:05 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Chicago Steel Ticket Office at 630-594-1161.
