Trenton Titans News Release

TRENTON, NJ - The Trenton Titans, ECHL member and proud affiliate of the NHL's Philadelphia Flyers, have announced their association with the Breast Cancer Resource Center (BCRC) of Princeton, NJ, to raise funds and awareness to defeat breast cancer.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and The BCRC will be working with the Titans during their "Pink The Rink" promotion at the Sun National Bank Center - a month-long endeavor sponsored by Radiology Affiliates Imaging . For all home games in October, the dasher boards that surround the ice at the SNBC will be the color pink and the Titans will wear specialized pink jerseys to bring awareness to breast cancer and the need to find a cure.

"When our off ice official, Denise Helms, a breast cancer survivor herself, introduced me to the women of BCRC I knew we found our partner," said Titans CEO Rich Lisk. " This organization is special and it helps people with breast cancer where they need it most. We are honored to be working with them."

The BCRC is part of the YWCA of Princeton and uses a variety of services - including support groups, private counseling and wellness programs - to help empower and motivate women to take responsibility for their own breast health. For more information on their services, contact the BCRC at 609-497-2100 ext. 349, or online at www.ywcaprinceton.org/bcrc

The Trenton Titans returned in the 2011-12 hockey season after a five year hiatus and boasted a 26.1% increase in attendance over the previous year, the largest of any team in the 20-team ECHL. Opening Night for the 2012-13 season is October 12 at home against the Greenville Road Warriors.
