Centers Dean Ouellet and Jordan Clendenning Add Scoring Punch and Leadership to Lineup

San Francisco, Calif. - The San Francisco Bulls Professional Ice Hockey Team, proud affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, announced today the signing of rookie centers Dean Ouellet (wuh-LET) and Jordan Clendenning (clehn-DEHN-ing). The Bulls roster has reached 15, with just 30 days until the drop of the puck on October 12.

"Dean and Jordan bring additional point production and leadership to the center position," said SF Bulls President and Head Coach. "Dean has been a proven playmaker and leader in juniors and in college. Jordan is one of those guys that makes players around him better and is a champion at the collegiate level."

Ouellet, 25, led the University of Moncton the past two seasons in scoring, totaling 30 points (13 goals, 17 assists) in 2010-11 and 34 points (6 goals, 28 assists) in 2011-12. In 2009-10, the 5-foot, 11-inch, 184-pound Edmunston, New Brunswick native tied for the team lead in points with 24. In Ouellet's first season with Moncton, he tied for second on the team with 30 points (7 goals, 23 assists). Prior to Moncton, Ouellet was a leader for Cape Breton of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), captaining the team in 2007-08 and serving as alternate captain in 2006-07. In four seasons in the QMJHL, Ouellet registered 258 points (107 goals, 151 assists) in 250 games.

"I'm really excited about signing with the San Francisco Bulls," said Ouellet. "I've heard a lot of good things about Pat and the organization and I feel very fortunate for the opportunity. Also, I've many great things about the city of San Francisco, so I can't wait to get started."

Clendenning, 25, is a two-time champion (2009 and 2011) of the University Cup of the Canadian Interuniversity Sport at the University of New Brunswick. He served as one New Brunswick's alternate captains in his final season, 2011-12. In four years with New Brunswick, the 5-foot, 11-inch, 202-pound the Fredericton, New Brunswick native finished with 42 points (23 goals, 19 assists) in 82 games. Before university, Clendenning spent five seasons in the QMJHL, captaining Acadie-Bathurst in 2006-07. In 323 QMJHL games, Clendenning totaled 231 points in 323 games.

"I'm excited to get to San Francisco and be a part of their new hockey team," said Clendenning. "I've heard great things about the city. And the Bulls organization seems excited to get the season started."
