Bakersfield Blaze News Release
Bakersfield, CA - A veteran Bakersfield Blaze employee known for his amphibious moniker and raspy voiced role as program pitchman is tying the knot this Saturday night at Sam Lynn Ballpark.
Dennis "Froggy" Gallion, who has pushed Blaze programs for 15 years and currently serves as a special assistant to the team's clubhouse manager, will wed Linda Perincio during a ceremony at home plate prior to the Blaze's 7:15 p.m. game against the High Desert Mavericks.
Blaze chaplain John Carter will conduct the commitment ceremony, slated to begin at 6:45 p.m. A private reception will follow.
"Froggy" has become a fan favorite during his tenure with the Blaze thanks to his gruff, unmistakable croon, which has welcomed thousands of fans to Sam Lynn Ballpark since 1997.
"On behalf of the Blaze front office, we couldn't be happier for "ËFroggy.' We wish him all the best in this new and exciting time in his life," Blaze general manager Elizabeth Martin said.
