
Timber Rattlers Homestand Highlights for July 31-August 3

GRAND CHUTE, WI - The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers have a short four game homestand from July 31 through August 3 at Time Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities Stadium. But, as always, there are giveaways and special nights planned to let fans fill up on the fun as the Rattlers take on the Burlington Bees. Full details on the promotions that are scheduled to occur during the homestand are below:
- TUESDAY, JULY 31 at 7:05pm; American TV Tuesday presented by 103.9 WVBO; Chad Pierce Player Poster Giveaway; and Cars.com Stress Ball Giveaway: The first 1,000 fans to attend this game will receive a poster of Timber Rattlers pitcher - and Fond du Lac native - Chad Pierce. This poster is number eight in a series of ten that are being given away this season. Pierce is also tentatively scheduled to start this game. Cars.com stress balls also will be given away to the first 1,000 fans to attend the game. Plus, as part of American TV Tuesday presented by 103.9 WVBO one fan in attendance will win a 32" flat-screen TV from American TV of Appleton.
- WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 1 at 7:05pm; 105.7 WAPL Bang for Your Buck Night & Baseball Cap Giveaway; Salute to Toilet Paper Night: From the team that brought you Salute to Cows, here is another night to honor an important Wisconsin industry: Salute to Toilet Paper. Products from Kimberly Clark will be on display near the main entrance and the first 1,000 fans to attend the game will receive travel packs of Kleenex. The Paper Discovery Center will also have a display on the main concourse that includes making origami and Papier-mâché baseballs. There will be a toilet paper theme to on-field promotions and contests throughout the game, too. The first 1,000 fans to attend the game will also receive a baseball cap from 105.7 WAPL. This is all happening on a night with $1 Cher-Make hot dogs, $1 Pepsi Products, and $1 Miller Beers on a 105.7 WAPL Bang for Your Buck Night!
- THURSDAY, AUGUST 2 at 12:05pm; Slugger's Sports Bar Thirsty Thursday presented by 95.9 KISS FM; Daycare/Park & Rec Day; Baker Tilly Business Persons & Senior Citizens Special: A day game means a Baker Tilly Business Persons Special. Show your business card when you purchase a ticket and for $11.50 you will receive a box seat ticket, a beverage and your choice of brat or hot dog. This offer is available to senior citizens, too. Groups with ties to daycare centers and Park & Recreation Departments receive discounted tickets to this game by contacting a member of the Group Ticket Department to order their tickets in advance. All fans can enjoy 16oz soda and beer for just $2 as part of Thirsty Thursday presented by Slugger's Sports Bar! After the game, those in attendance can take their ticket stub to Sluggers Sports Bar - located in Super Bowl on Northland Avenue - to win Miller Lite drinks and prizes.
- FRIDAY, AUGUST 3 at 7:05pm; North Shore Bank Family Night w/ Y100; Fang's 18th Birthday Party; CANS 4 CAKE Food Drive; Postgame Fireworks; Boy Scout Sleepover: Fang T. Rattler, the mascot of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers turns 18 this year and the Rattlers are throwing him a big party. Numerous mascots from local businesses and sports teams will join the festivities. The annual mascot kickball game begins at 6:00pm on field. All of the mascots will help with promotions and interact with fans during the game. Just watch out for Gnaf T. Rattler, the evil twin of Fang. It is also Gnaf's birthday, but he is a little jealous of the attention that Fang is receiving on his big day. There is a CANS 4 CAKE Food Drive with donations to benefit St. Joe's Food Program. Bring in a non-perishable food item as a donation and receive a slice of Fang's birthday cake. North Shore Bank Family Night means that children 12 and under eat free. Settle in after the game to watch a spectacular fireworks display. Children 14 and under may participate in Kids Run the Bases presented by Jernegan's Health Mart after the fireworks. Then, area boy scouts will camp out under the stars and on the outfield grass of Time Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities Stadium.
Fans are urged to purchase their tickets for these games in advance one of three ways: On-line at www.timberrattlers.com, over the phone at 800-WI-TIMBER, or in person at the Time Warner Cable Field Box Office. The box office is located at Fox Cities Stadium and is open on non-game days from 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday and from 10am to 3pm on Saturdays.
The Timber Rattlers are in the 2012 Midwest League playoffs and tickets for the postseason are available as a package and as a single game. To purchase tickets to the Hallman Lindsay Paints playoffs contact the Timber Rattlers box office. The first home playoff game is set for Thursday, September 6 at 6:35pm.
