Comets to Hold Galaxy Girls Tryouts

July 16, 2012 - Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) Missouri Comets

INDEPENDENCE, Mo - The Missouri Comets have announced tryouts for the 2012-2013 Galaxy Girls. Auditions will consist of three rounds; the finals will be open to the public on the KC Live! main stage in the Power & Light District on September 15th from 4 - 6pm. Audition information packets are available at http://www.cometsindoorsoccer.com/

The Galaxy Girls have been a tradition with the Comets for many years, and continue to build the relationship between the team and fans on game day, as well as strong connections with the community through public service events. The Galaxy Girls work closely with Blair's Foster Socks, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing socks to foster and homeless children. This year's Galaxy Girls are planning on taking part in no less than 30 community events. They will also be featured in a Galaxy Girls calendar.

Audition schedule is as follows:

Prelims: Friday September 7, 2012 from 7 - 10pm at All About Dance by Katye

Semi-finals: Saturday September 8, 2012 from 10am - 5pm at All About Dance by Katye

Finals: Saturday September 15, 2012 from 4 - 6pm on stage at KC Live! in P&L District

The Galaxy Girls final squad will be announced Monday September 17th via the Comets website and the Comets Facebook page.

Former Galaxy Girls have gone on work with the Kansas City Royals Game Day Entertainment, the Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleaders and with professional dance studios in Los Angeles.
