
Stars Open Four-Game Homestand against Barons Saturday

Huntsville, Ala. - It's a battle of the bats at Joe Davis Stadium! The Huntsville Stars (8-12) will face the Birmingham Barons (10-11, Chicago White Sox) in a four-game series starting this Saturday. The Stars are ranked second in overall batting average (.264) and the Barons are currently in third (.262). Come out to the Joe and watch these two teams collide while enjoying some great promotions!
Saturday, July 14th-6:43 p.m. - McDonald's Youth Sports Saturday, Cap Giveaway Night
Kids 12 and under get in free when they wear their youth sports or scouts jersey tonight and every Saturday night at "The Joe!" Take advantage of free admission and get here early because early arriving fans will receive a free cap courtesy of Redstone Federal Credit Union and WAAY31 First News HD! RFCU members will also receive up to four complimentary tickets just by showing their RFCU card at the ticket office. Stick around after the game for "Kids Run the Bases!"
Sunday, July 15th- 4:03 p.m. - Healthy Huntsville Chili Cook-off, Super Soaker Sunday, Show Your Card and Save Sunday
The Stars, in conjunction with Healthy Huntsville and Sterling Health, will sponsor a healthy chili cook-off. It's free to enter the competition, and the winner will receive an exciting prize package. There are three categories that participants can enter: Beast (for meat eaters), Vegetarian and Kids. If you don't want to enter, you can still support by tasting the chili! For five dollars, fans can sample five different chilis. AAA members can show their card and save every Sunday at The Joe! Fans can present their AAA card at the ticket office to receive up to four complimentary tickets, just for being a member of AAA.
Also, Super Soaker Sunday is back at Joe Davis Stadium! Fans are encouraged to bring out their water guns and sit in the designated area to get wet and cool off!
Monday, July 16th- 6:43 p.m. - Dark Knight Rises at Joe Davis Stadium
Kick off the countdown to the final installment of the Batman movies by spending your Monday night with Batman! Batman will be in the stadium to sign autographs and give away tickets to see the new movie "Dark Knight Rises." Don't miss your chance to meet Batman and a surprise guest!
Tuesday, July 17th- 6:43 p.m. - Dew for Tuesday
Drink up on Mountain Dew and spend a night at the ballpark with discounted tickets, beer, food and parking! Fans who bring in Mountain Dew bottle caps can get $2 parking and $2 tickets (one bottle cap for $2 parking, one per $2 ticket). Once inside the gates, fans can enjoy $2 hotdogs, peanuts, popcorn, 16-ounce beer and 20-ounce Pepsi products.
