Breakers extend partnership with Match Analysis

The Boston Breakers have renewed their multi-year relationship with California-based Match Analysis to provide video and technical analysis tools and data for the 2012 WPSL season.

The partnership provides the Breakers' tec hnical staff with complete touch-by-touch video and statistical analysis using Match Analysis's Mambo Studio, Tango Online, and Tango ToGo tools. The complete suite of tools is a critical element of the team's preparation and provides comprehensive insight into the development of the team.

"We are pleased to continue our successful relationship with Match Analysis," Boston Breakers Head Coach Lisa Cole said. "We've worked with Match Analysis the past three seasons, and Match Analysis consistently provides us quality insight, fantastic support, and some amazingly powerful tools to help us communicate with and develop our players."

Breakers prepare for four straight games at Dilboy

As the Breakers enter the second half of the WPSL Elite season in first place in the league, these next four matches prove vital and could well secure a playoff berth by the end of this upcoming homestand.

The stretch begins Wednesday, June 20, against the New England Mutiny. Currently tied for fourth place with the WNY Flash in WPSL Elite, the Mutiny bring a wealth of talent to Dilboy. Their squad boasts Boston College and U.S. Women's National Team midfielder Kristie Mewis, leading scorer and Boston University forward Tiya Gallegos, and U.S. U-17 captain Morgan Andrews.

Three days later, (June 23) the Breakers host the New York Fury, who Boston beat, 1-0, on the road back on May 23. The third-place Fury (4-2-1, 13 points) have one game prior to landing in Boston, and that is this Sunday (June 17) against ASA Chesapeake Charge. The Fury are led by their top scorer Merritt Mathias, who has five goals on the season.

On June 30, the Breakers take on the Chicago Red Stars, looking to get revenge from their 1-0 loss in Illinois, which ended Boston's five-game winning streak. The Red Stars are currently in second place in WPSL Elite with a 5-1-0 record and host the Mutiny on Saturday (June 16). The Breakers round out their homestand July 6 with a rematch against ASA Chesapeake Charge, who they opened the season against and took a 3-0 win.
