VANCOUVER- The Coaches Site is excited to welcome Abbotsford Heat Head Coach, Troy G. Ward, as a keynote speaker at the second annual Coaches Conference.

Ward is well known throughout the coaching community for his dedication to the sport and his ability to build relationships with his team. Ward joined the Heat in 2010 as an Assistant Coach and stepped into the Head Coach position in 2011. Under Wardʼs leadership, the Heat made it to the second round of the 2012 play-off season.

In addition to coaching duties, Ward owns and operates a family based summer hockey camp called "Hockey & Sons". The camp is in its fifteenth year and is unique in that it gives parents and their children the opportunity to train together with some of the gameʼs best coaches.

"Troy G. Ward is a really exciting coach because he brings an attention to detail and communication that should be a model for coaches everywhere," said managing director of The Coaches Site, Aaron Wilbur. "Heʼs measured, articulate and an innovator when it comes to motivating his players. Troy has crafted his identity in the coaching community and we are excited for our audience to learn under his leadership."

The two-day conference will be held at the Delta Hotel and Conference Centre in Burnaby, BC on July 20-21, 2012. The event will focus on coaching strategies, conditioning and skill development in an interactive environment. The format will consist of presentations, workshops and breakout sessions.
