
Bark in the Park, Port Charlotte Olympics, Boardwalk Empire Night and Fireworks Highlight Stone Crab

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. - The Charlotte Stone Crabs return to Charlotte Sports Park on Tuesday, May 29 for a two series, seven-game homestand against the Jupiter Hammerheads (Miami Marlins) and Dunedin Blue Jays (Toronto Blue Jays).
The homestand starts on Tuesday, May 29 with the gates opening at 5:30 and the first pitch at 6:30. Tuesday night will feature Seniors Eat Free where all fans 55 and over will receive a free hot dog, bag of chips and soft drink with the purchase of a game ticket, which starts at just $7 for general admission. Tuesday also hosts Two for Tuesday Night tickets, presented by Budweiser, where fans can receive a buy-one, get-one-free ticket offer. This offer is only valid when fans present a special Budweiser coupon, which are found on Bud products which are found at local Publix and Winn-Dixi stores, at the box office at the time of purchase.
Wednesday, May 30 is Polish Heritage night at Charlotte Sports Park. On Wednesday the Stone Crabs will honor their players and fans that have a Polish background. There will be Polish games, food, and music, the Stone Crabs will also host their first ever Polka Contest. Stone Crabs encourage everybody, even if they aren't Polish to come watch the Charlotte Stone Crabs take on the Jupiter Hammerheads at 6:30 p.m. and partake in the Polish festivities.
May 30 also brings the dogs to Charlotte Sports Park. The Stone Crabs are hosting their Inaugural Bark in the Park presented by Englewood Animal hospital. The Stone Crabs invite fans to bring their dogs to the ballpark and enjoy a game with their four legged friends. Dogs will get in free to the ballgame with a companion that has purchased a ticket.
Thursday, May 31 is brings another Thursty Thursday presented by Joe Cracker, featuring $1 domestic draft beers and soft drinks and $2 domestic cans, until the fifth inning. Gates open at 5:30 and first pitch is at 6:30 p.m. for the final game in the series against the Jupiter Hammerheads.
The Olympic rings are coming to Port Charlotte on Friday, June 1 when the Stone Crabs host their very own Olympic Games. The ceremonies and Bud Happy Hour will start with the gates opening at 5:30 p.m. and will continue throughout the game against the Dunedin Blue Jays. A Port Charlotte Olympic torch will be lit and passed before the first pitch and end of Bud Happy Hour at 6:30 p.m. and there will be fun Olympic Games and intense rivalries throughout the night. The Stone Crabs are also hosting a Cornhole Open tournament on Friday. Registration for the Open starts at 5:30 p.m. with the tournament officially starting at 6:30 p.m.
Get dolled up and join the Stone Crabs in transforming Charlotte Sports Park into their very own Boardwalk Empire. The Roaring Twenties will be in full swing on Saturday, June 2 with flappers and gangsters trolling the boardwalk. There will be costume contests, lingo lessons, dancing and much more. The night will be topped off with post-game firework show courtesy of Garden State Fireworks.
Take a break from the heat on Sunday, June 3 and get soaked with the Stone Crabs. Sunday brings another splash day to Charlotte Sports Park with gates opening at 4:30 p.m. and first pitch scheduled for 5:30 p.m. The day will feature a waterslide, water guns, splash zones and dry zones for those who just want to enjoy the matchup between the Stone Crabs and Blue Jays.
The Stone Crabs finish off the homestand on Monday, June 4 against the Dunedin Blue Jays. The gates will open at 5:30 p.m. with first pitch scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
