Birmingham, AL - The Birmingham Barons dropped their third consecutive game and fourth in the five game series against the Montgomery Biscuits 5-1 Sunday afternoon in front of 2,215 fans at Regions Park.

The Biscuits took a 1-0 lead in the first on a Jose Lobaton RBI single. The lead would grow to 3-0 in the fifth as Ryan Garko doubled in a run and scored on a Kyeong Kang single. The Biscuits would chase Barons starter Jose Quintana (1-3, 2.77) from the game in the sixth with another run on a Hak-Ju Lee ground out to make it 4- 0.

The Barons snapped a 26-inning scoreless drought in the ninth on Seth Loman's fourth home run of the season, but it wasn't enough as the Barons dropped their third-straight game 5-1.

Quintana picked up the loss, allowing four runs (three earned) on nine hits in 5.2 innings while striking out seven. Biscuits starter Kyle Lobstein (3-2, 4.67) picked up the win allowing just four hits and striking out four in 8.0 shutout innings.

The Barons have the day off Monday before starting a five-game set against the Stars in Huntsville. Simon Castro takes the hill in game one against Josh Stinson. First pitch is scheduled for 6:43 PM CDT.
