Boston Breakers News Release

When the Boston Breakers and ASA Chesapeake Charge square off Thursday, May 10, at 7:30 p.m. ET in Arnold, Maryland, they mark the beginning of a new era - the first-ever WPSL Elite game.

Led by Head Coach Lisa Cole, the Breakers boast a lineup that features players who've competed and won on the biggest stages - Olympics, Women's World Cup, U-20 Women's World Cup, NCAA College Cup, Four Nations Tournament, Asian Cup, WPS Playoffs, and Westfield W-League Grand Finals.

This group includes captain and midfielder Leslie Osborne, defender Cat Whitehill, U.S. U-23's Elli Reed, Bianca D'Agostino, and Amanda DaCosta, as well as Australian internationals Kyah Simon, and Tameka Butt.

Thursday's game pits Boston against a relatively young ASA Chesapeake Charge squad, highlighted by Penn State's Christine Nairn, who has recently trained with the U.S. Women's National Team. The Charge also have a couple younger players who have been in the U.S. youth national team system for the past few years.
