
Checkers Announce $10,000 School Technology Giveaway

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Charlotte Checkers and Microsoft have teamed together to provide two area schools with $5,000 each in technology upgrades.
The two prizes will consist of $2,500 in Microsoft products, including Xbox Kinect, Windows Kinect and software and $2,500 in cash to be used toward upgrading the school's current technological state.
To be entered to win, schools will be required to submit a brief email to socialnet@gocheckers.com outlining their need for an upgrade and what the $2,500 cash will be used to purchase. A maximum of 20 schools will then be chosen and the two schools which garner the most votes on the Checkers' Facebook page will win the grand prizes.
The deadline for entry submissions is Monday, May 21 and voting will begin Tuesday, May 22. For a full list of rules and information, please visit www.gocheckers.com/technology.
