
American Hockey League Announces Suspensions

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ... The American Hockey League today announced that Rochester Americans defenseman Alex Biega has been suspended for one (1) game as a consequence of a boarding incident in a game at Toronto on Apr. 21.
Biega will miss Game 3 of the Western Conference quarterfinal series between the teams tonight (Apr. 23) in Rochester.
The AHL has also announced that Hershey Bears defenseman Patrick Wellar has been suspended for one (1) game as a consequence of his actions in a game at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Apr. 21.
Wellar will miss Game 3 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinal series between the teams Wednesday (Apr. 25) in Hershey.
