San Angelo, Texas --- The San Angelo Colts announced Monday they have traded pitchers Josh Giles, Alex Casillas and Sean Keeler, and infielder Brandon Jones to the Abilene Prairie Dogs in exchange for future considerations.

Giles played for the Colts and the Chico Outlaws last year. He compiled a 2-3 overall record with a 4.85 earned-run average in 25 relief appearances.

Giles was originally signed by the Texas Rangers in 2005. He spent four years in the Rangers farm system, getting as far as the Class High A Bakersfield Blaze of the California League.

Giles is entering his eighth professional season. He holds a 16-18 career record with a 4.88 earned-run average in 228 games.

Casillas went 3-0 with a 5.50 earned-run average in seven games and six starts as a rookie for the Colts last year. He also struck out 33 batters, while yielding just 11 walks for an impressive 3:1 strikeout to walk ratio.

Casillas is entering his second professional season.

Keeler signed with the Colts on July 25, and went 1-0 with a 9.58 earned-run average in two starts last year. He then signed with the Amarillo Sox of the independent American Association on August 11, and finished the season with them.

Keeler went 0-1 with a 6.75 earned-run average in seven games and one start for Amarillo. He was traded back to San Angelo along with catcher Josh Banda on December 5 in exchange for future considerations.

Keeler enters his third pro season with a 2-1 career record and a 6.20 earned-run average in 24 games and four starts.

The Colts acquired Jones in a trade on November 10 with the American Association's Lincoln Saltdogs. San Angelo had the rights to Jones for four months of the offseason.

Last year Jones hit .232 with six home runs and 39 RBIs for Lincoln. He spent the better part of three seasons as a middle infielder with the Saltdogs. Now entering his eighth season, Jones has a career .250 batting average, 79 homers and 331 RBIs.

The San Angelo Colts are a member of the North American Baseball League who will play their 13th season in 2012. Season ticket plans are on sale now, and available at the Colts front office at Foster Field.
