The Boston Breakers are proud to announce its Junior Breakers Fan Group. This program is open to kids 15 years old and under.

Junior Breakers receive a bi-weekly newsletter, a Boston Breakers wristband, a birthday card autographed by players, and so much more! The cost is $50 per membership.

Breakers add another Australian star

This week, the Boston Breakers signed Brisbane Roar midfielder Tameka Butt. The 20-year-old has 23 caps for the Australian Women's National Team and has won two premierships and a grand final with the Brisbane Roar in the Westfield W-league, the Australian National Women's Football competition.

In Butt's four years playing for Australia, she's won the AFC Women's Asian Cup in 2010 and also played in the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup in Germany. To read more about Butt and what she has to say about coming to Boston, check out the story on our website.

Season memberships and info on open tryouts

Breakers fans, Make the Difference! There's still time to purchase season memberships for the 2012 season. The best way to enjoy all of the WPS action in 2012 is to become a Boston Breakers Member (what we call a season ticket holder). Your Breakers Membership will include your favorite seats to all regular season home games in 2012, plus exclusive benefits available only to our Members.

OPEN TRYOUTS

The 2012 Boston Breakers will hold open tryouts on Feb. 27 and 28. Tryouts on Feb. 27 will take place from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m at Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Mass.

Registration will begin at 8 a.m. A second session will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on the Breakers home field at Harvard Stadium in Allston, Mass. A call-back only tryout will be held on Feb. 28, 2012, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Harvard Stadium in Allston, Mass.
