Bighorns Acquire Devendorf from Stampede

January 24, 2012 - NBA Development League (D-League) Reno Bighorns

RENO, NEV.- The Reno Bighorns have acquired guard Eric Devendorf from the Idaho Stampede in exchange long-time Bighorns guard Chris Davis.

Devendorf (6-4, 180 lbs.) has averaged 8.9 points and 1.6 rebounds in 13 games with the Idaho Stampede this season. He played 3 games with the Bighorns during the 2009-10 season, posting 4.7 points per game in 13 minutes of action. He spent his college career playing under Jim Boeheim at Syracuse University, playing 116 games with the Orange and averaging 14.5 points and 3.2 assists per game. In high school, Devendorf won a National Championship during his senior season with the famed basketball boarding school Oak Hill Academy.

Davis (6-3, 185 lbs.) has played 88 games with the Bighorns over a three-year span, averaging 4.2 points and 1.7 rebounds per game. In 15 games with the team this season, Davis averaged 6.1 points and 1.9 rebounds per game, including earning two starts.

Devendorf will be with the team when they start a four-game road trip, beginning with a trip to Springfield to play the Armor on Saturday, January 28th. He will make his first appearance in Reno on February 4th when the team takes on the Bakersfield Jam at the Reno Events Center.
