Miners Release 2012 Schedule

Southern Illinois Miners News Release
MARION, Ill. - The Frontier League and the Southern Illinois Miners have announced the schedule for the 2012 season. The Miners will open their season at Rent One Park on Friday, May 18 at 7:05 p.m. when they begin a three-game series against the new entry into the Frontier League from London, Ontario, Canada (London has not named their team as of this release). Peoples National Bank will present Opening Day and a spectacular Friday Night Fireworks Show sponsored by River Radio and WPSD Local 6. The Opening Homestand will continue on Saturday, May 19 and Sunday, May 20.
The Miners will once again be home for the 4th of July with games on July 3, 4 & 5. The regular season will conclude for the Miners at home with a three-game series with the Lake Erie Crushers over the Labor Day Weekend on August 31, September 1 & 2.
The 2012 season also has the Miners moving into the East Division with the Evansville Otters, Florence Freedom, London, Ontario, Washington Wild Things, Lake Erie Crushers and the Traverse City Beach Bums. Also new to the Frontier League in 2012 is a team in Schaumburg, IL (Schaumburg has not named their team as of this release). The Miners will play Schaumburg on June 1, 2 & 3.
Fans can listen to all 96 Miners games on the Miners Radio Network, including the flagship station, US 97 in Marion. The four other Withers Broadcasting stations comprising the network are KJXX 1170 AM in Cape Girardeau, WRXX 95.3 FM in Centralia, WEBQ 1240 AM in Harrisburg and WRJJ 104.3 FM in Paducah.
Once again all games from Monday through Saturday will be scheduled to begin at 7:05 p.m. and Sunday games which will again be set for 5:05 p.m. All game times are subject to change.
Season Tickets and 10 Game Packs for the 2012 season are on sale now at the Rent One Park Box Office. New for the 2012 season are Reserve Seat and Lawn Seat Ticket Books, $40 and $20 respectively. Each Ticket Book contains 10 ticket vouchers that may be exchanged in any increment for a game ticket at the Rent One Park Box Office.
