Versus to Air Two First Round Games of NBA D-League Playoffs

NEW YORK, April 6, 2011 Two games of the first round of the 2011 NBA Development League Playoffs will air nationally on VERSUS, the league announced today. Game 1 of the first round series between the defending NBA Development League champion Rio Grande Valley Vipers and Bakersfield Jam, which will tip off in Bakersfield at 10 p.m. ET on Friday, April 8, will air that night on VERSUS at 11:30 p.m. ET. Also, Game 2 of the first round series between the Iowa Energy and Utah Flash will air live on VERSUS from Iowa on Monday, April 11 at 8 p.m. ET.

Overall, VERSUS will televise six games of the NBA D-League Playoffs, including every game of the NBA D-League Finals. Every other playoff game can be viewed live, online, for free via NBA Futurecast at nba.com/dleague.

The 2011 NBA D-League Playoffs tip off on Wednesday, April 6, when coach Nancy Lieberman and the Texas Legends host the Tulsa 66ers at 8 p.m. ET, and the top-seeded Iowa Energy visits the Utah Flash for a 9 p.m. ET tip.
