AUSTIN'S MARCUS COUSIN SIGNS WITH UTAH: Center Earns 2010-11 NBA D-League Season's 14th GATORADE Call-Up

The Utah Jazz signed center Marcus Cousin of the Austin Toros for the 14th GATORADE Call-Up of the 2010-11 NBA Development League season. Cousin's call-up increases the number of current NBA players with NBA D-League experience, including players currently on assignment to their NBA D-League affiliates, to 87. In 38 games (all starts) with the Toros this season, Cousin averaged 14.7 points and 8.6 rebounds in 29.9 minutes. Cousin has tallied 16 double-doubles this year, and has averaged 17.4 points and 10.2 rebounds in his last five games. In the NBA D-League All-Star Game last month, Cousin scored 19 points in 20 minutes for the West.

SKYFORCE ACQUIRES MCDOWELL

The Sioux Falls Skyforce announced yesterday that the team has acquired guard Stephen McDowell from the available player pool. To make room for him on the roster the team waived guard Anthony Harris due to injury. The active roster now stands at 10 players. McDowell holds NBA Development League career averages of 7.4 points and 2.3 assists in 38 games (eight starts) with the Bakersfield Jam (3), New Mexico Thunderbirds (32) and Austin Toros (3). He scored a season-high 25 points to go along with six rebounds and three steals for New Mexico on Jan. 10. The 6-0, 180-pound guard was named All-Southern Conference First Team after averaging 18.1 points and 3.3 rebounds in 35 games (all starts) as a senior at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2008-09.

Raymond Sykes tallied 19 points, eight rebounds, three steals and two blocks. Keaton Grant added 19 points for Sioux Falls in the win. Sean Williams finished with a game-high 27 points for Texas.

ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS: A look at NBA D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games:

39 players with NBA D-League experience competed in 11 NBA games last night, 10 as starters.

Utah's C.J. Miles tallied 23 points, seven rebounds and four assists in win over Toronto.

Philadelphia's Lou Williams scored 22 points to go along with three rebounds and three assists in an overtime loss to Oklahoma City.

Toronto's Sonny Weems had 16 points and 5 rebounds in 23 minutes off the bench in a loss to Utah.
