
66ers Owens Scores 12 in 2011 D-League All-Star Game

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 19, 2011- Tulsa 66ers forward Larry Owens scored 12 points on 4-of-7 shooting from the floor for the West team and added four rebounds, three assists and a steal in 19 minutes at the 2011 D-League All-Star Game Saturday in Los Angeles. The East team prevailed over the West by a 115-108 final.
Owens started for the West squad led by Tulsa 66ers head coach Nate Tibbetts, assistant Dale Osbourne and athletic trainer Tony Katzenmeier.
Leading the East team in scoring was Courtney Sims of the Iowa Energy with 25 points. Walker Russell of the Fort Wayne Mad Ants recorded a game-high 10 assists and Ivan Johnson of the Erie BayHawks added 10 rebounds.
Sean Williams of the Texas Legends led the West in scoring with 21 points.
Owens and the 66ers (24-10) return to the court on Thursday, Feb. 24 by hosting the Erie BayHawks inside the Tulsa Convention Center at 7 p.m.
