
K-Tribe Names New Assistant GM

Kinston, NC - Matthew Rau begins his first season as Assistant General Manager for the Kinston Indians. Matthew is a native of Fargo, North Dakota, and joins the K-Tribe after working six seasons for the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks of the American Association.
"Matt is a wonderful addition to the front office," said K-Tribe General Manager Benjamin Jones. "He is a former college baseball player that has gone on to work for more than half a decade in Minor League Baseball. It is the perfect mix."
Rau attended North Dakota State University in Fargo where he played baseball for the Bison while pursuing a degree in Business Administration. Matthew completed his B.A. in Business Administration at Ashford University in Clinton, Iowa with an emphasis on Marketing and Public Relations. Rau has also held the position of Director of Technology at Hope Lutheran Church in Fargo, and coached the Fargo American Legion Baseball team for three years.
"I am excited to be part of an organization with such a long tradition in Minor League Baseball," said Assistant General Manager Matthew Rau. "I am looking forward to working with this staff, as well as the Kinston and surrounding communities."
The Kinston Indians begin their 25th and final season of baseball at Historic Grainger Stadium on Friday, April 8th. Season tickets are on sale now for just $200 for all 70 home games.
