GRIZZLIES ASSIGN DEMARRE CARROLL TO NBA DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE AFFILIATE DAKOTA WIZARDS
Memphis Grizzlies forward DeMarre Carroll was assigned to the Dakota Wizards, the Grizzlies' NBA Development League affiliate, it was announced yesterday. The assignment marks the 19th time in the 2010-11 season an NBA player has been assigned to an NBA D-League affiliate, and it is the first assignment for Carroll, a second-year pro out of Missouri. Carroll (6-8, 212) has appeared in four games this season for Memphis. He played in 71 games for the Grizzlies last season, averaging 2.9 points and 2.1 rebounds in 11.2 minutes. The Grizzlies selected Carroll in the first round (27th overall) of the 2009 NBA Draft. After transferring from Vanderbilt, where he played his first two collegiate seasons, Carroll averaged 14.9 points and 6.9 rebounds in two seasons with the Tigers, earning All-Big 12 First Team and AP All-America Honorable Mention honors as a senior.

Seven players scored in double figures, led by 22 points from Zabian Dowdell, as Tulsa handed Texas its first loss at home this season. Elijah Millsap added 19 points and seven rebounds, and Jerome Dyson chipped in with 18 points for the 66ers. Antonio Daniels led Texas with 22 points. Mavericks' assignee Dominique Jones had 18 points, five rebounds and four assists for the Legends.

Golden State's Reggie Williams started and scored 26 points on 8-for-13 shooting in a win over Minnesota.
The Lakers' Shannon Brown had 16 points off the bench in a win over Washington.
Houston's Chuck Hayes started and scored 11 points in a win over Sacramento.
