Game 1 of Playoffs Postponed Thursday Night

MARION, Ill. - The first game of the Southern Illinois Miners and the River City Rascals best-of-five West Divisional Series Thursday night at Rent One Park has been postponed due to rain. The series will be pushed back one day.
Games 1 and 2 of the series at Rent One Park are now scheduled for 7:05 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, respectively. All tickets for Thursday's game are now good for Saturday night's game. Any tickets purchased for Friday night's game are still valid for Friday night.
The series will shift to River City for Game 3 on Sunday at 5:05 p.m. at the Rascals' T.R. Hughes Ballpark. Game 4 will also be at River City on Monday at 6:35 p.m., if necessary. If a deciding fifth game is needed, it will take place at Rent One Park on Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 7:05 p.m.
Friday's Game 1 of the series will still feature Ryan Bird on the mound for the Miners against Gary Moran for River City. However, the Miners will move Joe Augustine up to start Game 2 on Saturday, and Brett Scarpetta will now be pushed back to Game 3 on Sunday. Augustine has been on schedule to pitch on Saturday, which was originally scheduled to be Game 3 of the series.
