Worcester Sharks Announce Youth Hockey Equipment Giveaway

WORCESTER - Worcester Sharks President Michael A. Mudd announced today that the Worcester Sharks Youth Hockey Equipment Giveaway presented by weRENTcentralmass.com will be held in the lobby at the DCU Center on Sunday, September 12 from 10AM to 1PM.
Over $10,000 of hockey equipment will be given away for free courtesy of the Worcester Sharks and weRENTcentralmass.com. Slightly used hockey gloves, skates, helmets, and pads will be available for all youth hockey families.
"Youth hockey equipment can get very expensive," said Mudd. "The Sharks hope to take a bite out of some of the costs associated with playing youth hockey and would like to thank WeRENTcentralmass.com and the Leaders of Tomorrow of Shrewsbury for their support to make this event a reality."
All central Massachusetts hockey families are invited to attend. Donations will be collected for the Rodman Ride for Kids to benefit Special Olympics Massachusetts. The equipment was collected by the Leaders of Tomorrow of Shrewsbury and the Worcester Sharks.

Single game tickets for the Sharks fifth season of hockey will go on sale in concurrence with the equipment giveaway at the DCU Center on September 12 at 10AM.
The team has planned several special 5th anniversary promotions throughout the season; including the raising of the Atlantic Division regular season championship banner on opening night, several bobblehead giveaways, a celebration of Worcester hockey history, sports celebrity signings, $5 Kids Sundays presented by Papa Gino's, and much, much, more.
In conjunction with the milestone, the team has designed a special "V" logo and marketing campaign to be utilized throughout the 5th anniversary season. All season long, the team will wear a 5th anniversary patch on their sweater. Throughout the season, the team will introduce and wear a special 5th anniversary Worcester Sharks teal jersey with the "V" logo.
The Sharks promotional schedule is expect to be finalized within the next few days and will be posted on www.SharksAHL.com .
