
Anthony Day Commits to Yale University

Sioux Falls, SD-The Sioux Falls Stampede announced Monday that forward Anthony Day has committed to Yale University for the 2011-12 season. The Stampede now have nine incoming players committed to a Division I program.
The Buffalo, NY native is the Herd's top returning scorer after posting 31 points (11g, 10a) in 54 games last season. In just his first season in the USHL, Day recorded four points in his first four career games and registered five multi-point games for Sioux Falls.
Yale University is located in New Haven, CT and a member of the ECAC. Last season, the Bulldogs went 21-10-3 overall and captured their second straight league title while advancing to the Northeast Regional championship game. Day becomes the first ever Stampede player to commit to Yale.
Stampede players are schedule to report to Sioux Falls in just over two weeks for training camp. A pre-season schedule will be released later this week. Sioux Falls opens the regular season in Sioux City on Saturday, October 2nd.
